Abstract:
This data collection is a series of experiments describing the application of pPDH staining in brain sections and cleared brains of water deprived mice to reveal the brain regions inhibited by thirst. The dataset includes whole-brain imaging experiments describing the level of c-Fos and pPDH across all brain regions at cellular resolution. Here, wild type mice were water deprived for 24h (controls were not) and then perfused to harvest the brains. Brains were cleared with SHIELD method, and activity markers c-Fos and pPDH were immunostained and then imaged. The dataset shows the brain regions with increase or decrease in cFos and pPDH levels after water deprivation.
