Abstract:
This data collection is a series of experiments describing the bristle mechanosensory neurons on the head of Drosophila melanogaster. The dataset includes image stacks of the bristles on the head, labeled bristle mechanosensory neurons on the head, collective projections of labled bristle mechanosensory neuron into the brain, and individually labeled bristle mechanosensory neuron projections into the brain. These data are displayed as processed images and described in the manuscript entitled “Somatotopic organization among parallel sensory pathways that promote a grooming sequence in Drosophila (https://doi.org/10.1101/2023.02.11.528119)”.
Methods:
A full protocol describing this work is available in the associated manuscript at manuscript “Somatotopic organization among parallel sensory pathways that promote a grooming sequence in Drosophila (https://doi.org/10.1101/2023.02.11.528119)”.
